Provenance & Slow Craft
Every SharonCraft piece is cast, beaten, and threaded by hand in our Nairobi studio. Founded by Kelvin Mark and named for master artisan Sharon Ruth, our collective preserves generations of indigenous beadwork and metalcraft traditions.
We reject the impersonal rush of industrial mass-production. We work in small, intentional batches using reclaimed solid brass, ethically gathered cowrie shells, and hand-strung Maasai glass beads. The slight nuances in form and texture are not flaws—they are the living signature of human hands.
“When you hold a piece shaped by human hands, you carry forward the warmth, time, and living heritage of Kenya.”
