Are your pieces ready to ship?

Most pieces are kept ready in stock and dispatched within 48 hours of your order. A small number are made to order; look for the Made to order label on the product page. These are made specifically for you and usually take 5–7 days.

Can I customize a piece — size, colour, or design?

Occasionally, for select requests. Message us on WhatsApp or Instagram with what you have in mind and we'll check with our artisans on what is possible, along with pricing and timing, before confirming anything.

What materials do you use?

Mostly beadwork, brass, and cowrie shell — all sourced and worked by hand in Nairobi. Specific materials are listed on each product page.

How long does delivery take?

Yes. Once your order is dispatched, we'll message you directly with delivery details. For courier orders, we'll share tracking information when available.

Not yet. We are currently focused on delivery within Kenya. Follow us for updates if that changes.

How do I pay?

Payment is via M-Pesa or through our website checkout, depending on how you order. For custom or special orders arranged over WhatsApp or Instagram, we'll share M-Pesa payment details directly.

Do I need to pay upfront for custom pieces?

For the occasional made-to-order or specially sourced item, yes. We ask for payment upfront before we begin, since this covers materials and the artisan's work. We'll always confirm the price and details with you first.

Can I return an item?

Ready-to-ship items can be returned if there is an issue — message us within a few days of receiving your order. Made-to-order pieces are final sale unless they arrive damaged or do not match what you ordered.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Message us as soon as possible. If your order has not been dispatched yet, we can usually accommodate a change or cancellation. Once it is on its way, we are not able to reverse it.

I have sensitive skin or a metal allergy — is this safe for me?

Some pieces contain metal components such as brass. If you have sensitive skin or a metal allergy, message us before ordering and we'll let you know exactly what is used in a specific piece.

How do I care for beaded or brass pieces?

Accepted Answer

Avoid water, perfume, and harsh chemicals where possible, and store pieces somewhere dry when not wearing them. This helps keep the colours and finish looking their best for longer.

Is this a gift? Can it be wrapped?

Do you work with other artisans, or just make everything yourself?

Both. We make our own pieces and also partner with skilled Kenyan artisans to feature their work alongside ours. Every piece meets the same standard, whoever made it.
